| | My Veggies Need A Snorkel | | Oh man, what am I going to do with all this rain we are getting. First the rain came down so hard and the wind was so strong it destroyed most of our flowers, like peonies and irises. Now I am going to have to start putting umbrellas over my garden veggies or give them snorkels so they can breath under water. It's been raining now for almost two weeks. I am sure that most of what I planted will never grow this year. How is your garden doing now? Are you getting rained out of your yard? | |
| | What age did you learn how to Swim? | | I am 26 yrs old and I still don't know how to swim, lol. I've taken swimming classes in high school which is almost 6-8 years ago and I still don't know how. I went snorkeling and all, but with snorkels on I feel more confident in learning how to float and tread water. I don't know if I will ever learn to swim. Some of my old friends tried to teach me by pushing me into a swimming pool where I almost drowned lol. I guess pushing someone in the water isn't the best way to teach a person. This summer I can't wait because I love going to water parks and beaches to chill and have fun. Hopefully this year I'll finally learn how to swim. How about you? Can you swim fast or not at all? Are you just me who just can't learn? | |

| Snorkeling at hanauma bay, hawaii | | My hubby and I visited hawaii last oct 08 and we had a blast. We took a military hop to hickam afb so the rest of the time, we spent it on the island of oahu. We went to the dole plantation, went shopping at waikiki, walked along the beaches, ala moana, drove along the highway around the whole island. The views were breathtaking and the beaches are beautiful. Kailua beach has white sands and the color of the water is gorgeous. But hanauma bay is the place to go! Admission is free for military members, water is shalow so even if you don't know how to swim you can still take a dip and jst float around with your snorkels. The fish there are so tropical and seeing them jst will blow you away. Even the turtles! I can't wait to go back and mayb this time I'll also check out the big island. | |
