Sweatsuits Discussions| Hubby and the Battle of the AC | | I have an ongoing battle with the hubby over the AC. He will set it up, but rarely turns it on. For the past 2 years we had one that he would put in the kitchen window. It offered little relief because the kitchen is not centrally located. The AC only cooled the kitchen area (somewhat). Today I suggested he put it in the living room window where the cool air would be circulated by the ceiling fan. He huffed and puffed over the suggestion. When I arrived home this afternoon I found that he did listen to my words and put the AC in the living room window. Upon entering the house I found it was significantly cooler inside! Battle won. | |
| | what kind of clothes do u wear? | | ive heard that the kind of clothes one wears reflects one's personality. so does that mean that if one is a jovial persone...he or she should wear only colorful clothes like flower prints etc.? or if one is a serious person the he or she should wear only black n brown? | |
| | How do you rate your fashion sense? | | Do you use magazines as your fashion bible? Do you play by your own rules? Me? Well first off I cant afford too much at this time in my life. I do, however, try to think as to what pieces I can buy that will be able to be worn in several different manners. I make sure I have a white and black tunics, nice pair of jeans and a pair of boots. Anything else, well that just depends on what I can get. I tend to swap with friends. In fashion, the saying is true: One man's trash is definitely another's treasure. SO many times I have been over my sister's house and she will have her box of stuff she's no longer interested in. Every time I go home with a scarf, bag, or some other piece that I picture myself looking wonderful in. lol. I also try shopping at stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, AJ Wright, and Walmart. Believe it or not, Walmart has a great selection of scarfs, accessories, and sweatsuits. Every year I buy myself at least one comfortable pair of sweats that not only are inexpensive but they look good and can be worn in many different styles. What about you? Tell us about your fashion? | | Do a shirt and tie command respect? | | I have to wear a shirt and tie to work everyday, it's not my preferred choice, but sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do in order to get things you don't have, but want to get, right?Anyway, well over the years, my wardrobe has changed drastically. Before I got married, I used to have lots of jeans, sweatsuits and short combination outfits. Now that I'm married, I have more suits, and dress shirts and dress pants. A lot of times when it's casual day at our job, meaning you can wear jeans. I discovered that I don't even own one (1) pair of jeans anymore. So I just wear a polo shirt and some casual khakis.Sorry about the rabbit trail, back to the subject. Whenever I am out and about like at the local grocery store or malls. This happens rather frequent which is why I bring it up. Other customers will look at me in an aisle and ask me, where is such and such as though I am one of the managers in that particular business. It used to annoy me after a while, I had gotten used to it and now it's simply water off a duck's back. | | Just hanging out. | | The weather is going to change in the next couple of days and here in Minnesota we will see our first frost! I am anxious to slip into something comfortable and warm when I get home. I love sweatsuits. I don't wear them out of the house unless they are the nice ones with the top looking like a jacket. I also have a velour one that is so soft and warm! What is your favorite leisure clothes to wear at home? In the summer it's knit short and tee shirts....how about you? | |
